Destoners are used for separation of small stones, glass and metal particles from grain in dry method based on
different specific weight of material. They are applied in cleaning sections of flour mills. However, they can
also be used for cleaning of other dry, loose and grainy materials. Material is fed onto an inclined screne of the
machine moving in vibratory motion. Air exhaust from the machine sub-screen space forms an air cushion and
fluid layer above the screen. Due to this phenomenon and the screen inclination, the lighter fraction, i.e. grain,
moves down-slope the screen inclination to the delivery end. The heavier fraction, stones etc, coming in touch with
the scren cover, are forced by the screen vibration to move up slope the screen to the outlet for stones. As per the
processed material character the grain inlet, aspiration intensity, screen inclination, throw angle setting and
vibration amplitude can be adjusted to optimum.
